1Amending Title 74 (Transportation) of the Pennsylvania
2Consolidated Statutes, in turnpike, further providing for
3collection and disposition of tolls and other revenue.

4The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5hereby enacts as follows:

6Section 1. Section 8116 of Title 74 of the Pennsylvania
7Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a subsection to read:

8§ 8116. Collection and disposition of tolls and other revenue.

10(c) Advertising signs.--The commission shall minimize toll 
11increases authorized under subsection (a) by exercising the 
12authority to contract with a person, partnership, association or 
13corporation that desires to use a part of the Pennsylvania 
14Turnpike System for the placement of advertising signs 
15consistent with Federal law. For the purposes of this
16subsection, the term "Pennsylvania Turnpike System" includes

17(1) the turnpike;

18(2) the turnpike extensions and improvements;

1(3) the toll road conversions authorized by this
2chapter; and

3(4) the right-of-way adjoining the paved portions of the
4turnpike, turnpike extensions and improvements and toll road
5conversions authorized by this chapter.

6Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
