AN ACT

 

1Amending the act of June 12, 1931 (P.L.575, No.200), entitled
2"An act providing for joint action by Pennsylvania and New
3Jersey in the development of the ports on the lower Delaware
4River, and the improvement of the facilities for
5transportation across the river; authorizing the Governor,
6for these purposes, to enter into an agreement with New
7Jersey; creating The Delaware River Joint Commission and
8specifying the powers and duties thereof, including the power
9to finance projects by the issuance of revenue bonds;
10transferring to the new commission all the powers of the
11Delaware River Bridge Joint Commission; and making an
12appropriation," providing for gubernatorial veto.

13The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
14hereby enacts as follows:

15Section 1. The act of June 12, 1931 (P.L.575, No.200),
16entitled "An act providing for joint action by Pennsylvania and
17New Jersey in the development of the ports on the lower Delaware
18River, and the improvement of the facilities for transportation
19across the river; authorizing the Governor, for these purposes,
20to enter into an agreement with New Jersey; creating The
21Delaware River Joint Commission and specifying the powers and
22duties thereof, including the power to finance projects by the
23issuance of revenue bonds; transferring to the new commission

1all the powers of the Delaware River Bridge Joint Commission;
2and making an appropriation," is amended by adding a section to
3read:

4Section 3.1. Under the second paragraph of Article III of
5the agreement under section 1:

6(1) The commissioners for the Commonwealth shall transmit to
7the Governor a certified copy of the minutes of each meeting of
8the commission.

9(2) Within ten business days after receipt of the copy under
10paragraph (1), the Governor may veto the action of a
11commissioner for the Commonwealth.

12(3) An action vetoed under paragraph (2) shall be void.

13Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
