AN ACT
1Amending Title 30 (Fish) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2Statutes, in special licenses and permits, further providing
3for Lake Erie fishing permits.
4The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5hereby enacts as follows:
6Section 1. Section 2907.2(a), (b), (d) and (f.1) of Title 30
7of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes are amended to read:
8§ 2907.2. Lake Erie fishing permits.
9(a) Permit required.--No person shall fish in Lake Erie,
10Presque Isle Bay and their tributaries, including waters that
11flow into those tributaries, without first procuring an annual
12special permit [for such fishing] to fish in Lake Erie and
13tributaries or [the combination trout/salmon/Lake Erie permit] a
14combination trout/salmon permit and Lake Erie permit.
15(b) Fee.--The annual fee and the issuing agent fee for the
16special [permit] permits issued in this section shall be as
17provided in section 2715 (relating to license, permit and
18issuing agent fees).

2(d) Regulations.--The commission may promulgate regulations
3for the display of the special [permit] permits and manner in
4which [it] they may be affixed to the fishing license or carried
5with the licensee.

7(f.1) Lake Erie permits.--
8(1) The proceeds from the fees for the special permits
9to fish in Lake Erie [fishing permits] and tributaries as
10provided for under section 2715(a.1)(4) (relating to license,
11permit and issuing agent fees) and $6 of the fees for the
12combination trout/salmon permits and Lake Erie permits as
13provided for under section 2715(a.1)(5) shall be deposited
14into a restricted account within the Fish Fund.
15(2) The funds in the restricted account shall be used to
16provide public fishing access or to protect or improve fish
17habitat on or at Lake Erie, Presque Isle Bay and their
18tributaries, including waters that flow into those
19tributaries. The funds may also be used for other projects
20that support public fishing on or at Lake Erie, Presque Isle
21Bay and their tributaries.
22Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
