1Amending Title 23 (Domestic Relations) of the Pennsylvania
2Consolidated Statutes, in child protective services, further
3providing for services for prevention, investigation and
4treatment of child abuse.

5The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
6hereby enacts as follows:

7Section 1. Section 6365 of Title 23 of the Pennsylvania
8Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a subsection to read:

9§ 6365. Services for prevention, investigation and treatment of
10child abuse.

12(d.1) Release of information by investigating county
13agency.--Prior to completing its child fatality or near fatality
14report, the investigating county agency may release the
15following information to the public concerning a child who died
16or nearly died as a result of suspected child abuse:

17(1) The identity of the child.

18(2) If the child was in custody of the county agency or

1private agency, the identity of the agency.

2(3) The identity of the public or private agency under
3contract with a county agency to provide services to the
4child and the child's family in the child's home prior to the
5child's death or near fatality.

6(4) A description of services provided under paragraph
7(3).
