1Designating a bridge on that portion of US 22/US 322 Eastbound
2over Interstate 81, Susquehanna Township, Dauphin County, as
3the Chief Warrant Officer Matthew Ruffner Memorial Bridge.

4The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5hereby enacts as follows:

6Section 1. Chief Warrant Officer Matthew Ruffner Memorial
7Bridge.

8(a) Findings.--

9(1) Chief Warrant Officer (CWO) Matthew Ruffner was a
10resident of Susquehanna Township, Dauphin County,
11Pennsylvania.

12(2) CWO Ruffner was a pilot and a senior flight
13instructor at Fort Indiantown Gap.

14(3) While bravely serving his country, CWO Ruffner was
15killed in Afghanistan on April 9, 2013, in a helicopter
16crash.

17(b) Designation.--The bridge located on US 22/US 322
18Eastbound over Interstate 81 in Susquehanna Township, Dauphin

1County, is hereby designated the Chief Warrant Officer Matthew
2Ruffner Memorial Bridge.

3(c) Signs.--The Department of Transportation shall erect and
4maintain appropriate signs displaying the name of the bridge to
5traffic in both directions on the bridge.

6Section 2. Effective date.

7This act shall take effect in 60 days.
