1Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania
2Consolidated Statutes, providing for restitution for costs 
3and expenses of dismissal incurred by school districts.

4The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5hereby enacts as follows:

6Section 1. Title 18 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
7Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:

8§ 1107.2. Restitution for costs and expenses of dismissal
9incurred by school districts.

10(a) General rule.--The court shall, in addition to any other
11restitution sentence or order authorized by law, sentence a
12person convicted of a crime against a student for which
13registration under 42 Pa.C.S. Ch. 97 Subch. H (relating to
14registration of sexual offenders) is required, to make
15restitution for all reasonable costs and expenses incurred by a
16school district in relation to the person's dismissal by a
17school district for conduct that resulted in the conviction.

18(b) Allowable costs.--Costs and expenses under this section
19may include a fee for professional services by an attorney,

1investigator, expert, court cost and filing fee in a school
2district, administrative or judicial action.

3Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
