1Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2Statutes, providing for Share the Road plate.

3The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4declares that this act shall be known and may be cited as the
5Dave Bachman Act.

6The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
7hereby enacts as follows:

8Section 1. Title 75 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
9Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:

10§ 1358.1 Share the Road plate.

11The department shall design a Share the Road registration
12plate. Upon application of any person, accompanied by a fee of
13$40, which shall be in addition to the regular annual
14registration fee, the department shall issue the plate for a
15passenger car or truck with a registered gross weight of not
16more than 14,000 pounds or a motor home. The fee shall be used
17exclusively to maintain the department's central office position
18of Bicycle and Pedestrian Coordinator and to fund highway

1pedalcycle signage approved by the department.

2Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
