1Amending Title 30 (Fish) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2Statutes, further providing for disabled veterans and former
3prisoners of war.

4The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5hereby enacts as follows:

6Section 1. Section 2707(a) of Title 30 of the Pennsylvania
7Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:

8§ 2707. Disabled veterans and former prisoners of war.

9(a) General rule for disabled veterans.--Any disabled
10veteran who has a disability incurred in any war or armed
11conflict which consists of the loss of one or more limbs, or the
12loss of use of one or more limbs, or total blindness, or who is
13100% disabled as certified by the United States Department of
14Veterans Affairs, including a veteran who under Federal 
15regulations is assigned a disability rating of less than 100% 
16but who is deemed 100% disabled due to unemployability, and who
17meets the qualifications of section 2701 (relating to resident

1fishing licenses), shall be issued a free resident fishing
2license upon application to the commission or a county
3treasurer. An application submitted by a disabled veteran shall,
4in addition to any information required under section 2701,
5contain a statement that the applicant is a war or armed
6conflict veteran and that the qualifying disability was service
7incurred. The issuing agent or the commission may require the
8production of the discharge papers of the applicant.
