1Providing for salaries of management level State employees.

2The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
3hereby enacts as follows:

4Section 1. Short tile.

5This act shall be known and may be cited as the Commonwealth
6Manager Pay Equity Act.

7Section 2. Definitions.

8The following words and phrases when used in this act shall
9have the meanings given to them in this section unless the
10context clearly indicates otherwise:

11"Management level employee." A Commonwealth employee who is
12involved directly in the determination of policy or who
13responsibly directs the implementation thereof and shall include
14all employees above the first level of supervision.

15Section 3. Salary of management level employees.

16A management level employee shall receive not less than the
17same annual percentage salary and fringe benefit increase as

1received by the highest ranking employee participating in
2collective bargaining where the management level employee is in
3a direct line of supervision over that highest ranking employee.

4Section 4. Effective date.

5This act shall take effect July 1, 2013, or immediately,
6whichever is later.
