AN ACT

 

1Amending Title 30 (Fish) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2Statutes, in fishing licenses, further providing for
3provisions relating to disabled veterans and former prisoners
4of war.

5The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
6hereby enacts as follows:

7Section 1.  Section 2707(a) of Title 30 of the Pennsylvania
8Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:

9§ 2707.  Disabled veterans and former prisoners of war.

10(a)  General rule for disabled veterans.--Any disabled
11veteran who has a disability incurred in any war or armed
12conflict which consists of the loss of one or more limbs, or the
13loss of use of one or more limbs, or total blindness, or who is
14[100%] 50% disabled as certified by the United States Department
15of Veterans Affairs, and who meets the qualifications of section
162701 (relating to resident fishing licenses), shall be issued a
17free resident fishing license upon application to the commission

1or a county treasurer. An application submitted by a disabled
2veteran shall, in addition to any information required under
3section 2701, contain a statement that the applicant is a war or
4armed conflict veteran and that the qualifying disability was
5service incurred. The issuing agent or the commission may
6require the production of the discharge papers of the applicant.

8Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
