1Amending the act of June 13, 1967 (P.L.31, No.21), entitled "An
2act to consolidate, editorially revise, and codify the public
3welfare laws of the Commonwealth," in public assistance,
4further providing for persons eligible for medical
5assistance.

6The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
7hereby enacts as follows:

8Section 1. Section 441.1 of the act of June 13, 1967
9(P.L.31, No.21), known as the Public Welfare Code, is amended by
10adding a subsection to read:

11Section 441.1. Persons Eligible for Medical Assistance.--* *

13(c) The Commonwealth shall enter into an agreement with the
14Secretary of the United States Department of Health and Human
15Services to expand eligibility to persons described under
16section 1902(a)(10)(A)(i)(VIII) of the Social Security Act (49
17Stat. 620, 42 U.S.C. § 1396a(a)(10)(A)(i)(VIII)). The department
18shall submit a revised State plan if required to implement the

1expansion of eligibility under this subsection. This subsection
2shall not apply if the Federal medical assistance percentage
3under section 1905(y) of the Social Security Act (49 Stat. 620,
442 U.S.C. § 1396d(y)) is less than the following:

5(1) One hundred percent for calendar quarters in 2014,
62015 and 2016.

7(2) Ninety-five percent for calendar quarters in 2017.

8(3) Ninety-four percent for calendar quarters in 2018.

9(4) Ninety-three percent for calendar quarters in 2019.

10(5) Ninety percent for calendar quarters in 2020 and
11each year thereafter.

12Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
