A RESOLUTION
1Designating the week of April 20 through 26, 2014, as
2"Administrative Professionals' Week" and designating April
323, 2014, as "Administrative Professionals' Day" in
4Pennsylvania.
5WHEREAS, Administrative professionals play an essential role
6in coordinating the office operations of businesses, government
7offices, educational institutions and other organizations; and
8WHEREAS, The work of administrative professionals today
9requires advanced knowledge and expertise in communications,
10computer software, office technology, project management,
11organization, customer service and other vital office management
12responsibilities; and
13WHEREAS, Administrative Professionals' Week is observed
14annually in workplaces around the world to recognize the
15important contributions of administrative support staff and is
16sponsored by the International Association of Administrative
1Professionals; and
2WHEREAS, Administrative Professionals' Week in 2014 is
3focused on honoring the office professionals who make offices
4run effectively and reflecting the integral and central role
5that office professionals play; therefore be it
6RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives designate April
720 through 26, 2014, as "Administrative Professionals' Week" and
8April 23, 2014, as "Administrative Professionals' Day" in
9Pennsylvania; and be it further
10RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives encourage all
11businesses, government offices, educational institutions and
12other organizations to support continued training and
13development for administrative staff and recognize that a well-
14trained workforce is essential for success in today's world.
