A RESOLUTION
1Congratulating the Linfield Fire Company in Montgomery County on
2its 100th anniversary.
3WHEREAS, The Linfield Fire Company was founded in October
41913, after a disastrous fire completely destroyed the Sanitary
5Company of America's foundry; and
6WHEREAS, The Linfield Fire Company is located approximately
735 miles northwest of Philadelphia in Limerick Township,
8Montgomery County; and
9WHEREAS, The Linfield Fire Company is a volunteer
10organization that provides fire prevention, fire suppression and
11associated emergency and nonemergency services to the community;
12and
13WHEREAS, The Linfield Fire Company's mission has always been
14to assist people and protect property during a fire or disaster;
15and
1WHEREAS, The Linfield Fire Company has five engines and
2tankers in its fleet; and
3WHEREAS, The Linfield Fire Company consists of 26 volunteers;
4and
5WHEREAS, The volunteer firefighters of the Linfield Fire
6Company serve selflessly and tirelessly in order to protect
7their fellow citizens; and
8WHEREAS, In times of uncertainty that Pennsylvanians face
9today, their commitment and heroics are immeasurable; and
10WHEREAS, Montgomery County residents salute, admire and
11appreciate all the volunteers that have served this community
12for so many years; therefore be it
13RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives join with the
14citizens of Montgomery County in recognizing the Linfield Fire
15Company's 100th anniversary.
