1Amending the act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30, No.14), entitled "An
2act relating to the public school system, including certain
3provisions applicable as well to private and parochial
4schools; amending, revising, consolidating and changing the
5laws relating thereto," providing for school district budgets 
6and union contracts to be posted.

7The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
8hereby enacts as follows:

9Section 1. The act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30, No.14), known
10as the Public School Code of 1949, is amended by adding a
11section to read:

12Section 618. School District Budgets and Union Contracts to
13be Posted.--(a) Within sixty (60) days of the effective date of
14this section, and by August 1 of each year thereafter, each
15school district shall post on its publicly accessible Internet
16website electronic copies of the following:

17(1) The school district's most recent final adopted budget,
18which shall be posted under a tab labeled "Budget."

19(2) All currently effective contracts between the school
20district and any union, which shall be posted under a tab

1labeled "Union contracts."

2(b) A school district that does not have a publicly
3accessible Internet website shall be exempt from the
4requirements of subsection (a).

5Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
