AN ACT

 

1Amending Title 34 (Game) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2Statutes, in hunting and furtaking licenses, further
3providing for classes of licenses.

4The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5hereby enacts as follows:

6Section 1. Section 2705(1), (2), (4), (5), (7.1), (8), (9),
7(10), (11) and (11.1) of Title 34 of the Pennsylvania
8Consolidated Statutes are amended to read:

9§ 2705. Classes of licenses.

10Unless otherwise provided, any person wishing to exercise any
11of the privileges granted by this title shall first secure the
12applicable resident or nonresident hunting or furtaker license
13as follows:

14(1) Adult resident hunting licenses to residents who
15have reached their [17th] 22nd birthday but have not reached
16their 65th birthday.

17(2) Junior resident hunting licenses to residents who
18have reached or will reach their 12th birthday in the license

1year of application for a license but who have not reached
2their 17th birthday prior to the date of the application for
3the license and who, if 16 years of age or younger, present a
4written request, bearing the signature of a parent or
5guardian, for the issuance of a license. The actual hunting
6privileges granted to the holder of a junior license shall
7not be exercised until that person in fact is 12 years of
8age.

10(4) Adult resident furtaker licenses to residents who
11have reached their [17th] 22nd birthday but have not reached
12their 65th birthday.

13(5) Junior resident furtaker licenses to residents who
14have reached or will reach their 12th birthday in the license
15year of application for a license but who have not reached
16their 17th birthday prior to the date of the application for
17the license and who, if 16 years of age or younger, present a
18written request, containing the signature of a parent or
19guardian, for the issuance of a license. The actual furtaking
20privileges granted to the holder of a junior license shall
21not be exercised until that person in fact is 12 years of
22age.

24(7.1) Junior resident combination hunting and furtaker
25license, including archery and muzzleloader privileges, to
26residents who have reached or will reach their 12th birthday
27in the license year of application for a license but who have
28not reached their 17th birthday prior to the date of the
29application for the license and who, if 16 years of age or 
30younger, present a written request, containing the signature

1of a parent or guardian, for the issuance of a license. The
2actual privileges granted to the holder of a junior resident
3combination license shall not be exercised until that person
4in fact is 12 years of age.

5(8) Adult nonresident hunting licenses to all
6nonresidents of [17] 22 years of age or older.

7(9) Junior nonresident hunting licenses to all
8nonresidents who have reached or will reach their 12th
9birthday in the license year of application for a license but
10who have not reached their 17th birthday prior to the date of
11the application for the license and who, if 16 years of age 
12or younger, present a written request, bearing the signature
13of a parent or guardian, for the issuance of a license. The
14actual hunting privileges granted to the holder of a junior
15license shall not be exercised until that person in fact is
1612 years of age.

17(10) Adult nonresident furtaker licenses to nonresidents
18of [17] 22 years of age or older.

19(11) Junior nonresident furtaker licenses to
20nonresidents who have reached or will reach their 12th
21birthday in the license year of application for a license but
22who have not reached their 17th birthday prior to the date of
23the application for the license and who, if 16 years of age 
24or younger, present a written request, containing the
25signature of a parent or guardian, for the issuance of a
26license. The actual furtaking privileges granted to the
27holder of a junior license shall not be exercised until that
28person in fact is 12 years of age.

29(11.1) Junior nonresident combination hunting and
30furtaker license, including archery and muzzleloader
