1Amending Title 42 (Judiciary and Judicial Procedure) of the
2Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, in sentencing, further
3providing for collection of restitution, reparation, fees,
4costs, fines and penalties.

5The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
6hereby enacts as follows:

7Section 1. Section 9728(g) of Title 42 of the Pennsylvania
8Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:

9§ 9728. Collection of restitution, reparation, fees, costs,
10fines and penalties.

12(g) Costs, etc.--Any sheriff's costs, filing fees and costs
13of the county probation department, clerk of courts or other
14appropriate governmental agency, including, but not limited to,
15any reasonable administrative costs associated with the
16collection of restitution, transportation costs and other costs
17associated with the prosecution, as well as any costs resulting 
18from collection activities undertaken by the county, including,
 

1but not limited to, general operating expenses incurred by the 
2county from the collection of restitution, reparation, fees, 
3fines and penalties, shall be borne by the defendant and shall
4be collected by the county probation department or other
5appropriate governmental agency along with the total amount of
6the judgment and remitted to the appropriate agencies at the
7time of or prior to satisfaction of judgment.

9Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
