1Amending Title 65 (Public Officers) of the Pennsylvania
2Consolidated Statutes, in ethics standards and financial
3disclosure, further providing for restricted activities.

4The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5hereby enacts as follows:

6Section 1. Section 1103 of Title 65 of the Pennsylvania
7Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a subsection to read:

8§ 1103. Restricted activities.

9* * *

10(k) Legislative fundraising on session days.--On a day when
11either house of the General Assembly is in session:

12(1) No person shall offer or give to a public official 
13or public employee of the legislative branch of this 
14Commonwealth or a member of his immediate family or a 
15business with which he is associated anything of monetary 
16value, including a gift, loan or political contribution for a 
17campaign for office in the legislative branch.

18(2) No public official or public employee of the 
19legislative branch of this Commonwealth shall solicit or
 

1accept anything of monetary value, including a gift, loan or 
2political contribution for a campaign for office in the 
3legislative branch.

4Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
