1Amending the act of November 10, 1999 (P.L.491, No.45), entitled
2"An act establishing a uniform construction code; imposing
3powers and duties on municipalities and the Department of
4Labor and Industry; providing for enforcement; imposing
5penalties; and making repeals," further providing for
6definitions.

7The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
8hereby enacts as follows:

9Section 1. The definition of "agricultural building" in
10section 103 of the act of November 10, 1999 (P.L.491, No.45),
11known as the Pennsylvania Construction Code Act, amended
12November 26, 2006 (P.L.1440, No.157), is amended to read:

13Section 103. Definitions.

14The following words and phrases when used in this act shall
15have the meanings given to them in this section unless the
16context clearly indicates otherwise:

18"Agricultural building." A structure utilized to store farm

1implements, hay, feed, grain or other agricultural or
2horticultural products or to house poultry, livestock or other
3farm animals, a milk house and a structure used to grow 
4mushrooms, agricultural or horticultural products. The term
5includes a carriage house owned and used by members of a
6recognized religious sect for the purposes of housing horses and
7storing buggies. The term shall not include habitable space or
8spaces in which agricultural products are processed, treated or
9packaged and shall not be construed to mean a place of occupancy
10by the general public.
