AN ACT
1Designating <-a bridge on that portion of State Route 263 over the
2Pennypack Creek <-Byberry Avenue from Warminster Road to York
3Road, Borough of Hatboro, Montgomery County, as the SP4
4Robert Preston Ruttle, Jr., Memorial <-Bridge Highway.
5The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
6hereby enacts as follows:
7Section 1. SP4 Robert Preston Ruttle, Jr., Memorial <-Bridge
<-8Highway.
9(a) Findings.--
10(1) Robert Preston Ruttle, Jr., a resident of Hatboro,
11Montgomery County, began his tour of duty in Vietnam on
12November 15, 1968, as a Specialist 4 with the 101st Airborne
13Division.
14(2) On June 5, 1969, SP4 Ruttle, age 23, was killed in
15Quang Tin Province by an enemy explosive device while
1valiantly serving his country.
2(b) Designation.--<-The bridge located on State Route 263
<-3Byberry Avenue from Warminster Road to York Road, Borough of
4Hatboro, Montgomery County, <-over the Pennypack Creek is hereby
5designated the SP4 Robert Preston Ruttle, Jr., Memorial <-Bridge
<-6Highway.
7(c) Signs.--The Department of Transportation shall erect and
8maintain appropriate signs displaying the name of the <-bridge
9highway to traffic in both directions on the <-bridge highway.
10Section 2. Effective date.
11This act shall take effect in 60 days.
