1Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2Statutes, further defining "street rod."

3The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4hereby enacts as follows:

5Section 1. The definition of "street rod" in section 102 of
6Title 75 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes is amended to
7read:

8§ 102. Definitions.

9Subject to additional definitions contained in subsequent
10provisions of this title which are applicable to specific
11provisions of this title, the following words and phrases when
12used in this title shall have, unless the context clearly
13indicates otherwise, the meanings given to them in this section:

15"Street rod." A motor vehicle, or a reproduction thereof,
16with a model year [of 1948 or older] that is 40 or more years 
17old which has been materially altered or modified by the

1removal, addition or substitution of essential parts and with a
2gross weight or registered gross weight of not more than 9,000
3pounds.

5Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
