1Amending the act of June 13, 1967 (P.L.31, No.21), entitled "An
2act to consolidate, editorially revise, and codify the public
3welfare laws of the Commonwealth," in public assistance,
4providing for family centers; and making an appropriation.

5The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
6hereby enacts as follows:

7Section 1. The act of June 13, 1967 (P.L.31, No.21), known
8as the Public Welfare Code, is amended by adding a section to
9read:

10Section 405.6. Family Centers.--The department shall provide
11family centers. These centers shall seek and accept clients
12requiring assistance and provide them with guidance with
13parenting, life skills, pregnancy support, family recreation
14options, health care and nutrition information for all family
15members.

16Section 2. The sum of $15,312,000, or as much thereof as may
17be necessary, is hereby appropriated from July 1, 2013, to June
1830, 2014, to carry out the provisions of this act.

1Section 3. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
