AN ACT

 

1Amending the act of April 9, 1929 (P.L.177, No.175), entitled
2"An act providing for and reorganizing the conduct of the
3executive and administrative work of the Commonwealth by the
4Executive Department thereof and the administrative
5departments, boards, commissions, and officers thereof,
6including the boards of trustees of State Normal Schools, or
7Teachers Colleges; abolishing, creating, reorganizing or
8authorizing the reorganization of certain administrative
9departments, boards, and commissions; defining the powers and
10duties of the Governor and other executive and administrative
11officers, and of the several administrative departments,
12boards, commissions, and officers; fixing the salaries of the
13Governor, Lieutenant Governor, and certain other executive
14and administrative officers; providing for the appointment of
15certain administrative officers, and of all deputies and
16other assistants and employes in certain departments, boards,
17and commissions; and prescribing the manner in which the
18number and compensation of the deputies and all other
19assistants and employes of certain departments, boards and
20commissions shall be determined," in Commonwealth agency
21fees, further providing for Department of State.

22The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
23hereby enacts as follows:

24Section 1. Section 618-A(1) of the act of April 9, 1929
25(P.L.177, No.175), known as The Administrative Code of 1929, is
26amended by adding paragraphs to read:

27Section 618-A. Department of State.--The Department of State

1is authorized to charge fees for the following purposes and in
2the following amounts:

3(1) Bureau of Commissions,
4Elections and Legislation:

6(x) Fee for authentication
7(apostille) or
8certification of a
9document for
10recognition by a
11foreign government.....

12(xi) Maximum total fee for
13authentication
14(apostille) or
15certification of all
16documents for
17recognition by a
18foreign government for
19a non-commercial
20purpose requested in
21one transaction.....

23Section 2. Within 30 days of the effective date of this
24section, the Department of State shall make available and
25publish in the Pennsylvania Bulletin a uniform form to request
26the legalization of documents. The form shall include all of the
27following:

28(1) Name of requester.

29(2) Organization.

30(3) Address.

1(4) Telephone number.

2(5) Country for which documents are being prepared.

3(6) Number of documents to be certified.

4(7) Purpose of request.

5(8) Signature of requester.

6Section 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
