1Amending Title 34 (Game) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2Statutes, further providing for organization of commission.

3The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4hereby enacts as follows:

5Section 1. Section 301(a) and (c) of Title 34 of the
6Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes are amended to read:

7§ 301. Organization of commission.

8(a) Composition.--The independent administrative commission
9known as the Pennsylvania Game Commission shall consist of eight
10competent citizens of this Commonwealth who shall be well
11informed on the subject of wildlife conservation and restoration
12and who shall be appointed by the Governor, by and with the
13advice and consent of [two-thirds] a majority of the elected
14members of the Senate.

16(c) Term of office and compensation.--The members of the
17commission shall hold office for terms of [eight years each and

1may continue to hold office for a period of time not to exceed
2six months or] four years and until a successor is appointed and
3qualified.[, whichever occurs first. A member of the commission
4appointed to fill a vacancy for a period of four years or less
5may be eligible for appointment to a full eight-year term. A
6member of the commission who serves a full eight-year term or
7fills a vacancy for a period of more than four years shall not
8be eligible for reappointment to the commission until a period
9of eight years expires.] Commissioners shall receive no
10compensation for their services, but may be reimbursed for
11travel expenses.
