AN ACT

 

1Amending Title 30 (Fish) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2Statutes, further providing for organization of commission.

3The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4hereby enacts as follows:

5Section 1. Section 301(a) and (c) of Title 30 of the
6Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, amended November 1, 2012
7(P.L.1716, No.211), are amended to read:

8§ 301. Organization of commission.

9(a) Composition.--The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission
10is continued as an independent administrative commission and
11shall consist of ten competent citizens of this Commonwealth who
12shall be appointed by the Governor by and with the advice and
13consent of a majority of the members elected to the Senate for
14terms of [eight] four years and until their successors are
15appointed and qualified.

17(c) Terms of office and compensation.--The members shall
18hold office for terms of [eight] four years and until a

1successor is appointed and qualified. [A member appointed to
2fill a vacancy for a period of four years or less may be
3eligible for appointment to a full eight-year term. A member who
4serves a full eight-year term or fills a vacancy for a period of
5more than four years shall not be eligible for reappointment to
6the commission until a period of eight years expires.] The
7members shall receive no compensation for their services but may
8be reimbursed for travel expenses. When performing any function
9on behalf of the commission or acting within the scope of their
10official duties, members of the commission shall be authorized
11to operate Commonwealth vehicles and watercraft and shall be
12treated as employees of the Commonwealth for the purposes of
13automotive and general liability and the act of June 2, 1915 
14(P.L.736, No.338), known as the Workers' Compensation Act.

16Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
