AN ACT
1Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania
2Consolidated Statutes, in falsification and intimidation,
3further providing for the offense of impersonating a notary
4public or a holder of a professional or occupational license.
5The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
6hereby enacts as follows:
7Section 1. Section 4913(b) 4913(b)(1)<- of Title 18 of the
8Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes is amended <-and subsection (b)
9is amended by adding a paragraph to read:
10§ 4913. Impersonating a notary public or a holder of a
11professional or occupational license.

13(b) Grading.--
14(1)<- Except as set forth in paragraph (2) or (3), an
15offense under this section is a misdemeanor of the second
16degree.

1(3) If the intent of the actor is to impersonate a
2medical doctor <-of medicine and, in so doing, the actor
3provides medical advice or treatment to another person as a
4patient, regardless of whether or not the other person
5suffers harm from the medical advice or treatment, an offense
6under this section is a <-felony misdemeanor of the first
7degree.
8Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
