1Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2Statutes, in registration of vehicles, providing for special
3plates for school teachers.

4The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5hereby enacts as follows:

6Section 1. Title 75 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
7Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:

8§ 1358.1. Special plate for school teachers.

9Upon application of any person who is a teacher in a public
10or private school in this Commonwealth, the department shall
11issue to such person a special registration plate designating
12the vehicle so registered as belonging to a person who is a
13school teacher. Across the top of the plate shall be inscribed
14Pennsylvania. Across the bottom of the plate shall be inscribed
15School Teacher. The special registration plate may be used only
16on a passenger car or truck with a registered gross weight of
17not more than 10,000 pounds.

18Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
