AN ACT

 

1Amending the act of May 17, 1929 (P.L.1798, No.591), entitled
2"An act providing a fixed charge, payable by the
3Commonwealth, on lands acquired by the State and the Federal
4Government for forest reserves, or for the purpose of
5preserving and perpetuating a portion of the original forests
6of Pennsylvania, and preserving and maintaining the same as
7public places and parks; and the distribution of the same for
8county, school, township, and road purposes in the counties,
9school districts, and townships where such forests are
10located; and making an appropriation," providing for
11distribution of timber, wood products and gas and oil ground
12rentals and royalties.

13The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
14hereby enacts as follows:

15Section 1. The act of May 17, 1929 (P.L.1798, No.591),
16referred to as the Forest Reserves Municipal Financial Relief
17Law, is amended by adding a section to read:

18Section 3. Twenty percent of all revenues received by a
19State agency, except the Pennsylvania Game Commission and the
20Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission, through the sale of
21timber and wood products, gas and oil ground rentals and

1royalties and all other rentals from lands acquired by the
2Commonwealth for the purposes enumerated in section 1, shall,
3within thirty days of receipt of the revenue, be paid to the
4treasurer of the county where the land from which the revenue is
5generated is located. Within thirty days of receiving the
6revenue, the county treasurer shall disburse forty percent of
7the revenue to the school district and thirty percent of the
8revenue to the municipality in which the revenue was generated.
9The treasurer shall retain the remaining thirty percent for the
10benefit of the county.

11Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
