1Amending Title 23 (Domestic Relations) of the Pennsylvania
2Consolidated Statutes, in protection from abuse, further 
3providing for commencement of proceedings.

4The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5hereby enacts as follows:

6Section 1.  Section 6106 of Title 23 of the Pennsylvania
7Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a subsection to read:

8§ 6106.  Commencement of proceedings.

10(a.3)  Notification regarding child abuse investigation.--

11(1)  If the plaintiff has knowledge of a child abuse
12investigation involving the defendant, the petition shall
13include that information together with the name of the
14investigative agency.

15(2)  The petition shall include notice to the defendant
16that an order issued under this chapter may have an impact on
17the defendant under Chapter 63 (relating to child protective

1services). The court shall develop procedures to implement
2the provisions of this paragraph.

4Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
