AN ACT

 

1Prohibiting the use of full Social Security numbers on State
2forms.

3The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4hereby enacts as follows:

5Section 1.  Short title.

6This act shall be known and may be cited as the Social
7Security Number Prohibition Act.

8Section 2.  Use of full Social Security numbers prohibited.

9Notwithstanding any other law to the contrary, except as
10required by Federal law or regulation and except as provided in
11section 3, no person shall be required to provide more than the
12last four digits of his Social Security number on any form
13required by a State governmental entity.

14Section 3.  Exceptions.

15This act shall not apply to:

16(1)  Forms required by the act of March 4, 1971 (P.L.6, 

1No.2), known as the Tax Reform Code of 1971.

2(2)  Any other form utilized in connection with the
3collection of State taxes.

4Section 4.  Effective date.

5This act shall take effect in 90 days.
