1Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2Statutes, further providing for vehicles exempt from
3registration and for persons exempt from licensing.

4The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5hereby enacts as follows:

6Section 1.  Sections 1302 and 1502 of Title 75 of the
7Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes are amended by adding 
8paragraphs to read:

9§ 1302.  Vehicles exempt from registration.

10The following types of vehicles are exempt from registration:

12(2.3)  Any implement of husbandry, trailer or semitrailer
13used exclusively for agricultural operations and only
14infrequently operated upon highways. Vehicles exempt from
15registration under this paragraph shall be used exclusively
16upon a farm or farms owned or operated by the owner of the

1vehicle or upon highways between the farm or farms and a
2school that is hosting an annual agricultural-related
3educational event for the purpose of participating in that
4event, if the distance between the farm or farms and the site
5of the event does not exceed 25 miles.

7§ 1502.  Persons exempt from licensing.

8The following persons are not required to obtain a driver's
9license under this chapter:

11(6)  Any person 14 years of age or older may operate an 
12implement of husbandry not to exceed 11 feet in width on a 
13roadway for the purpose of driving that implement between 
14sunrise and sunset to an annual agricultural-related 
15educational event hosted by a school, provided that the 
16distance between the person's residence and the site of the 
17event does not exceed 25 miles.

18Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
