| AN ACT |
| |
1 | Amending Title 53 (Municipalities Generally) of the Pennsylvania |
2 | Consolidated Statutes, further providing for powers and |
3 | duties of commission. |
4 | The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania |
5 | hereby enacts as follows: |
6 | Section 1. Section 2164 of Title 53 of the Pennsylvania |
7 | Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a paragraph to read: |
8 | § 2164. Powers and duties of commission. |
9 | The powers and duties of the commission shall be as follows: |
10 | * * * |
11 | (16) To grant partial waivers of training to Federal law |
12 | enforcement officers based on an evaluation and comparison of |
13 | the Federal training to the basic training curriculum |
14 | required for municipal police officers. Under the partial |
15 | waiver, officers shall still fulfill the training |
16 | certification requirements consistent with the rules and |
17 | regulations governing minimum standards required for |
18 | certification. |

1 | Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days. |
