| AN ACT |
| |
1 | Amending Title 45 (Legal Notices) of the Pennsylvania |
2 | Consolidated Statutes, in codification and publication of |
3 | documents, providing for electronic publication of municipal |
4 | codes; and making an inconsistent repeal. |
5 | The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania |
6 | hereby enacts as follows: |
7 | Section 1. Chapter 7 of Title 45 of the Pennsylvania |
8 | Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a subchapter to read: |

13 | § 741. Electronic publication of municipal codes. |
14 | The Local Government Commission may publish, maintain and |
15 | update electronic copies of the act of June 23, 1931 (P.L.932, |
16 | No.317), known as The Third Class City Code, the act of June 24, |
17 | 1931 (P.L.1206, No.331), known as The First Class Township Code, |
18 | the act of May 1, 1933 (P.L.103, No.69), known as The Second |
19 | Class Township Code, the act of August 9, 1955 (P.L.323, |

1 | No.130), known as The County Code, and the act of February 1, |
2 | 1966 (1965 P.L.1656, No.581), known as The Borough Code, in |
3 | addition to, or in lieu of, printed publication and distribution |
4 | of the aforementioned codes and any temporary or permanent |
5 | supplements or amendments thereto in accordance with the act of |
6 | May 29, 1935 (P.L. 244, No. 102), referred to as the Local |
7 | Government Commission Law. Municipal codes electronically |
8 | published shall be available on an Internet website maintained |
9 | by the Local Government Commission in a secure format accessible |
10 | to the public and shall be updated within 60 days of the |
11 | enactment of any amendment. |
12 | Section 2. Section 2.1 of the act of May 29, 1935 (P.L.244, |
13 | No.102), referred to as the Local Government Commission Law, is |
14 | repealed insofar as it is inconsistent with the addition of 45 |
15 | Pa.C.S. Ch.7 Subch. C. |
16 | Section 3. This act shall take effect November 30, 2012. |
