AN ACT

Amending the act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30, No.14), entitled "An

2

act relating to the public school system, including certain

3

provisions applicable as well to private and parochial

4

schools; amending, revising, consolidating and changing the

5

laws relating thereto," providing for suspension of

6

reporting.

The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

8

hereby enacts as follows:

Section 1.  The act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30, No.14), known

10

as the Public School Code of 1949, is amended by adding a

11

section to read:

Section 118.  Suspension of Reporting.--(a)  Except as

13

provided for in subsection (b), all reporting required under

14

this act and any regulations promulgated under this act by

15

school districts to the Pennsylvania Department of Education

16

shall be suspended for those school years where the

17

appropriation for Commonwealth funding for basic education

18

funding results in a reduction from the previous fiscal year's

19

State appropriation for basic education funding.

(b)  School districts shall continue to provide the following

reports or information:

(1)  Annual financial report.

(2)  Annual budget information.

4

(3)  Information necessary to determine payments to school

5

districts as set forth in Article XXV of this act.

6

(4)  Reports and information required under Federal law and

7

as required for receipt of Federal funds.

(5)  Information required under the act of June 27, 2006 (1st

9

Sp.Sess., P.L.1873, No.1), known as the "Taxpayer Relief Act."

10

(6)  Information required as set forth in Article XIII-A of

11

this act.

Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2011, or

13

immediately, whichever is later.
