INTRODUCED AS NONCONTROVERSIAL RESOLUTION UNDER RULE 35, MAY 21, 2012  

A RESOLUTION

Recognizing Carl Wolter of Lehighton, Pennsylvania, on winning

the 2011 RE/MAX World Long Drive Championship Powered by

Dick's Sporting Goods.

WHEREAS, Carl Wolter, with a 409-yard drive, won the 2011

RE/MAX World Long Drive Championship Powered by Dick's Sporting

Goods; and

WHEREAS, The 35-year-old Wolter matched his 2002 performance

to regain his place atop the power golf world; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Wolter, the multisport talent, has, throughout

the course of the past nine years, been working on building his

family, as he and wife Shannon have a seven-year-old daughter,

Mady, and live in the Lehighton area; and

WHEREAS, During that nine-year period, Mr. Wolter maintained

a top ten ranking during most of those years; and

WHEREAS, With his recent win, Mr. Wolter earned $150,000 and

the pride that goes along with the world championship; therefore

be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives recognize Carl

Wolter of Lehighton, Pennsylvania, on winning the 2011 RE/MAX

World Long Drive Championship Powered by Dick's Sporting Goods;

and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be transmitted to

Carl Wolter.
