INTRODUCED AS NONCONTROVERSIAL RESOLUTION UNDER RULE 35, APRIL 16, 2012  

A RESOLUTION

Honoring and celebrating the 100th anniversary of the

Pennsylvania State Association of County Fairs.

WHEREAS, Established in 1912 with 13 fairs, the Pennsylvania

State Association of County Fairs' membership has grown to

include 114 county fairs; and

WHEREAS, Founded as a nonprofit educational organization, the

association was established to promote the growth and

improvement of agricultural fairs, associations and societies

within this Commonwealth, and to educate and provide for the

exchange of information among the membership, the general public

and agencies for the betterment of the fairs and fair industry;

and

WHEREAS, Throughout its history, the Pennsylvania State

Association of County Fairs has made inestimable contributions

to the welfare of society through a sense of fellowship and

through its programs, which are designed to enhance the quality

of life for all; and

WHEREAS, A succession of dedicated leaders and members have

made those contributions possible, keeping ever mindful of the

noble maxims of the organization; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives honor and

celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Pennsylvania State

Association of County Fairs.
