INTRODUCED AS NONCONTROVERSIAL RESOLUTION UNDER RULE 35, FEBRUARY 29, 2012  

A RESOLUTION

Recognizing the week beginning May 21, 2012, as "Small Business

Week" in Pennsylvania.

WHEREAS, Small businesses in this Commonwealth employ 49.98%

of the private nonfarm work force; and

WHEREAS, The 234,540 small businesses in Pennsylvania produce

over $77.4 billion in annual income, including benefits; and

WHEREAS, Most new jobs that are created in this Commonwealth

are in small businesses; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives recognize the

week beginning May 21, 2012, as "Small Business Week" in

Pennsylvania.
