A RESOLUTION

Designating the week of October 10 through 14, 2011, as "DECA

Week" in Pennsylvania.

WHEREAS, The week of October 10 through 14, 2011, is National

DECA Week; and

WHEREAS, DECA members are ambitious, high-achieving leaders

equipped to conquer the challenges of their aspirations; and

WHEREAS, DECA members continually impact and improve their

local communities; and

WHEREAS, DECA members are poised professionals with ethics,

integrity and high standards; and

WHEREAS, DECA members are empowered through experience to

provide effective leadership through goal setting, consensus

building and project implementation; and

WHEREAS, More than 185,000 DECA members are in 5,000 high

school chapters in all 50 states and nine countries; therefore

be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives designate the

week of October 10 through 14, 2011, as "DECA Week" in

Pennsylvania.
