| AN ACT |
| |
1 | Amending Title 20 (Decedents, Estates and Fiduciaries) of the |
2 | Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, in administration and |
3 | personal representatives, providing for power over decedent |
4 | account on social networking website, microblogging or short |
5 | message service website or e-mail service website. |
6 | The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania |
7 | hereby enacts as follows: |
8 | Section 1. Title 20 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated |
9 | Statutes is amended by adding a section to read: |
10 | § 3316.2. Power over decedent account on social networking |
11 | website, microblogging or short message service |
12 | website or e-mail service website. |
13 | A personal representative shall have the power, unless the |
14 | personal representatives' authority has been restricted by will |
15 | or by court order, to take control of, conduct, continue or |
16 | terminate an account of the decedent with a social networking |
17 | website, microblogging or short message service website or |
18 | e-mail service website. |
19 | Section 2. This act shall take effect in 90 days. |
