| AN ACT |
| |
1 | Amending Title 61 (Prisons and Parole) of the Pennsylvania |
2 | Consolidated Statutes, in general administration, providing |
3 | for annual salaries of supervisory employees. |
4 | The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania |
5 | hereby enacts as follows: |
6 | Section 1. Title 61 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated |
7 | Statutes is amended by adding a section to read: |
8 | § 1106. Annual salaries of supervisory employees. |
9 | (a) General rule.--A supervisory employee of the department |
10 | who is not subject to a collective bargaining agreement shall |
11 | not receive an annual salary from the Commonwealth which is less |
12 | than the largest annual salary received by the employee whom the |
13 | supervisory employee directly supervises. |
14 | (b) Definition.--As used in this section, the term |
15 | "supervisory employee" means an employee who has the authority |
16 | to hire, transfer, suspend, lay off, recall, promote, discharge, |
17 | assign, reward or discipline other employees or responsibly |

1 | direct them or to adjust their grievances or effectively to |
2 | recommend such action. |
3 | Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days. |
