| AN ACT |
| |
1 | Providing for hearing on purchase of wetlands; and for notice of |
2 | purchase of wetlands. |
3 | The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania |
4 | hereby enacts as follows: |
5 | Section 1. Short title. |
6 | This act shall be known and may be cited as the Transparency |
7 | in Purchase of Wetlands Act. |
8 | Section 2. Hearing on purchase of wetlands. |
9 | Ninety days prior to the purchase of land by the Department |
10 | of General Services for the purpose of preserving or mitigating |
11 | wetlands as required by Federal law, the department shall hold a |
12 | public hearing within the political subdivision where the |
13 | wetlands are located. |
14 | Section 3. Notice of purchase of wetlands. |
15 | Ten days prior to the commencement of the hearing under |
16 | section 2, public notice of the hearing shall be published in a |
17 | newspaper of general circulation within the political |

2 | Section 4. Effective date. |
3 | This act shall take effect in 60 days. |
