AN ACT

Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated

Statutes, in registration of vehicles, providing for a

3

special license plate for female veterans.

The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

5

hereby enacts as follows:

6

Section 1.  Title 75 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated

7

Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:

8

§ 1366.  Special plates for female veterans.

9

Upon application of any person who is an honorably discharged

10

female veteran of the armed forces of the United States or a

11

reserve component of the armed forces as defined in 51 Pa.C.S. §

12

7301 (relating to definitions), accompanied by a fee of $20

13

which shall be in addition to the annual registration fee and by

14

such documentation as the department shall require, the

15

department shall issue to the person a special registration

plate designating the vehicle as belonging to a person who is a

2

female veteran of the armed forces of the United States. The

3

special registration plate may be used only on a passenger car

4

or truck with a registered gross weight of not more than 10,000

5

pounds.

Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
