| AN ACT |
| |
1 | Amending Title 65 (Public Officers) of the Pennsylvania |
2 | Consolidated Statutes, further providing for definitions and |
3 | for statement of financial interests. |
4 | The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania |
5 | hereby enacts as follows: |
6 | Section 1. Section 1102 of Title 65 of the Pennsylvania |
7 | Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a definition to read: |
8 | § 1102. Definitions. |
9 | The following words and phrases when used in this chapter |
10 | shall have, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise, the |
11 | meanings given to them in this section: |

13 | "Lobbyist." As defined in section 13A03 (relating to |
14 | definitions). |

16 | Section 2. Section 1105(b) of Title 65 is amended by adding |

1 | paragraphs and the section is amended by adding a subsection to |
2 | read: |
3 | § 1105. Statement of financial interests. |

5 | (b) Required information.--The statement shall include the |
6 | following information for the prior calendar year with regard to |
7 | the person required to file the statement: |

9 | (11) If the person required to file the statement is a |
10 | member of the General Assembly, the identity of each member of |
11 | the person's immediate family who is registered as a lobbyist |
12 | under Chapter 13A (relating to lobbying disclosure). |
13 | (12) If the person required to file the statement is a |
14 | member of the General Assembly, a declaration that a member of |
15 | the person’s immediate family who is a registered lobbyist under |
16 | Chapter 13A (relating to lobbying disclosure) and as identified |
17 | under this subsection, receives any direct or indirect income |
18 | totaling in the aggregate $1,300 or more as a result of being a |
19 | registered lobbyist, as well as the name and address of the |
20 | sources of the income. This provision shall not be construed to |
21 | require the divulgence of confidential information protected by |
22 | statute or existing professional codes of ethics or common law |
23 | privileges. |

25 | (e) Legislative record.--The statement under subsection (b) |
26 | (11) shall be a legislative record subject to the act of |
27 | February 14, 2008 (P.L.6, No.3), known as the Right-to-Know Law. |
28 | Section 3. This act shall take effect in 60 days. |
