AN ACT

Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated

2

Statutes, providing for special plate for fallen police

3

officers.

The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

5

hereby enacts as follows:

6

Section 1.  Title 75 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated

7

Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:

8

§ 1366.  Special plate for fallen police officers.

9

Upon application of any person, accompanied by a fee of $20

10

which shall be in addition to the annual registration fee, the

11

department shall issue to the person a special plate

12

commemorating fallen police officers. Across the top of the

13

plate shall be inscribed "Pennsylvania." Across the bottom shall

14

be inscribed "In Memory of Fallen Police Officers." To the left

15

of the plate number shall be an outline of a figure of a law

16

enforcement badge. The special registration plate may be used

only on a passenger car or truck with a registered gross weight

2

of not more than 10,000 pounds.

Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
