| AN ACT |
| |
1 | Amending the act of July 8, 1986 (P.L.437, No.92), entitled "An |
2 | act providing for grants to agricultural societies and |
3 | associations to develop and improve agricultural fairs; |
4 | establishing an advisory committee in the Department of |
5 | Agriculture; and making repeals," providing for smoking at |
6 | certain agricultural fairs. |
7 | The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania |
8 | hereby enacts as follows: |
9 | Section 1. The act of July 8, 1986 (P.L.437, No.92), known |
10 | as the Pennsylvania Agricultural Fair Act, is amended by adding |
11 | a section to read: |
12 | Section 8.2. Smoking at agricultural fairs. |
13 | The prohibitions against, and any restrictions on, smoking in |
14 | public places under the act of June 13, 2008 (P.L.182, No.27), |
15 | known as the Clean Indoor Air Act, shall not apply to any |
16 | portion of an annual agricultural fair that is conducted in an |
17 | outdoor area of a sports or recreational facility, theater or |
18 | performance establishment. |
19 | Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately. |
