| AN ACT |
| |
1 | Amending Title 42 (Judiciary and Judicial Procedure) of the |
2 | Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, in governance of the |
3 | system, further providing for establishment of fees and |
4 | charges and for costs; in facilities and supplies, further | <-- |
5 | providing for surcharges; and, in budget and finance, further |
6 | providing for Commonwealth portion of fines. |
7 | The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania |
8 | hereby enacts as follows: |
9 | Section 1. Sections 1725(c)(3)(ii), 1725.1(a)(4) and (7) |
10 | and, 3571(c)(2)(vi) and (vii) and 3733.1(a)(1) of Title 42 of | <-- |
11 | the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes are amended to read: |
12 | § 1725. Establishment of fees and charges. |
13 | (c) Counties of the first class.-- |

15 | (3) The fees to be received by the prothonotary on |
16 | behalf of the Philadelphia Municipal Court in civil actions |
17 | shall be as follows: |

5 | § 3733.1. Surcharge. | <-- |
6 | (a) Imposition of surcharge.--In addition to each fee |
7 | imposed under section 3733(a.1) (relating to deposits into |
8 | account), except as set forth in subsection (b), the following |
9 | apply: |
10 | (1) A surcharge of $11.25 shall be charged and collected |
11 | [for a period of 25 months beginning on the effective date of |
12 | this section]. This paragraph shall expire December 31, 2014. |
