| AN ACT |
| |
1 | Amending the act of June 24, 1931 (P.L.1206, No.331), entitled |
2 | "An act concerning townships of the first class; amending, |
3 | revising, consolidating, and changing the law relating |
4 | thereto," in contracts, further providing for general |
5 | regulations concerning contracts. |
6 | The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania |
7 | hereby enacts as follows: |
8 | Section 1. Section 1802(d)(3.1) of the act of June 24, 1931 |
9 | (P.L.1206, No.331), known as The First Class Township Code, |
10 | reenacted and amended May 27, 1949 (P.L.1955, No.569) and |
11 | amended or added December 18, 1996 (P.L.1149, No.173) and June |
12 | 25, 1997 (P.L.332, No.36), is amended to read: |
13 | Section 1802. General Regulations Concerning Contracts.--* * |

15 | (d) The contracts or purchases made by the commissioners |
16 | which shall not require advertising, bidding or price |
17 | quotations, as hereinbefore provided, are as follows: |

2 | (3.1) Those for used equipment, articles, apparatus, |
3 | appliances, vehicles or parts thereof being purchased from a |
4 | public utility, municipal authority, county, school district, |
5 | municipality authority, council of government or Federal or |
6 | State government. |

8 | Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days. |
