A RESOLUTION

Recognizing the Bedford County Young at Heart Games.

2

WHEREAS, The Bedford County Young at Heart Games is a three-

3

week event to be held throughout the month of May 2010 which is

4

designed for the enjoyment and benefit of persons 50 years of

5

age and older; and

6

WHEREAS, The games, which are celebrating their 8th

7

anniversary, are cohosted by the Colonial Courtyard at Bedford

8

and the Huntingdon/Bedford/Fulton Area Agency on Aging; and

9

WHEREAS, The games, created for eager rookies and seasoned

10

athletes, features a golf scramble, bowling, billiards, darts

11

and numerous other activities; and

12

WHEREAS, An awards banquet will be held to recognize

13

participation and individual achievement; therefore be it

14

RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives recognize the

Bedford County Young at Heart Games and congratulate its

2

volunteers and participants; and be it further

3

RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be sent to Mrs.

4

Susan Koontz, the 2010 president of the games, to the Colonial

5

Courtyard at Bedford and to the Huntingdon/Bedford/Fulton Area

6

Agency on Aging.
