A RESOLUTION

  

1

Congratulating the Pennsylvania Young Farmers Association for

2

its outstanding contributions to this Commonwealth, and

3

recognizing its annual convention February 3 through 5, 2009.

4

WHEREAS, The Pennsylvania Young Farmers Association will hold

5

its annual conference on February 3 through 5, 2009, at the

6

Hotel Carlisle Convention Center; and

7

WHEREAS, This annual program is highlighted with tours of

8

local farms, speakers, roundtables, an awards banquet and the

9

delegates' session; and

10

WHEREAS, The Pennsylvania Young Farmers Association serves as

11

a major vehicle to provide up-to-date agriculture education

12

through both instruction and the sharing of personal innovations

13

and accomplishments; and

14

WHEREAS, A primary goal of the Pennsylvania Young Farmers

Association is to provide education in public schools to

2

adolescents and adults to encourage upgrades in agricultural

3

programs and to increase leadership in agribusinesses; and

4

WHEREAS, The Pennsylvania Young Farmers Association provides

5

a wonderful opportunity by which the agricultural community can

6

share knowledge and experiences; and

7

WHEREAS, All these functions improve agricultural practices

8

in this Commonwealth which, in turn, increases the outstanding

9

contributions which are made to this Commonwealth by its

10

agricultural community; therefore be it

11

RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives congratulate the

12

Pennsylvania Young Farmers Association for its outstanding

13

contributions to this Commonwealth; and be it further

14

RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives recognize this

15

excellent organization on the occasion of its annual convention

16

on February 3 through 5, 2009.
