| AN ACT |
| |
1 | Designating the portion of McClintock Road that intersects with | <-- |
2 | State Route 48, known as Jack's Run Road, over Jack's Run |
3 | Stream, White Oak Borough, Allegheny County, bridge in the | <-- |
4 | Borough of White Oak, Allegheny County, carrying State Route |
5 | 2033 over Jack's Run Stream as the Milton L. Lebowitz |
6 | Memorial Bridge. |
7 | The General Assembly finds and declares as follows: |
8 | (1) Milton L. Lebowitz was a dedicated, active and |
9 | prominent member of the White Oak community as a volunteer, |
10 | businessman and public servant. |
11 | (2) Born in 1932, Mr. Lebowitz served this nation in the |
12 | Korean War, married his high school sweetheart, Joyce Rosner, |
13 | and resided in White Oak Borough for more than 40 years. |
14 | (3) Mr. Lebowitz spent more than four decades as the |
15 | owner and operator of a commercial dry cleaning business. |
16 | (4) Mr. Lebowitz was a member of the White Oak |
17 | Recreation Board in the early 1970s, where he was involved in |
18 | the development of the Heritage Hill recreation complex, |

1 | including the community park and swimming pool. |
2 | (5) Mr. Lebowitz later served eight years as a member of |
3 | the White Oak Borough Council from 1976 through 1983 and as |
4 | mayor of White Oak Borough from 1998 until his death in 2003. |
5 | The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania |
6 | hereby enacts as follows: |
7 | Section 1. Milton Lebowitz Memorial Bridge. |
8 | (a) Designation.--The portion of McClintock Road that | <-- |
9 | intersects with State Route 48, known as Jack's Run Road, over |
10 | Jack's Run Stream, White Oak Borough, Allegheny County, bridge | <-- |
11 | in the Borough of White Oak, Allegheny County, carrying State |
12 | Route 2033 (McClintock Road) over Jack's Run Stream is |
13 | designated as the Milton L. Lebowitz Memorial Bridge. |
14 | (b) Signs.--The Department of Transportation shall erect and |
15 | maintain signs displaying the name of the bridge to traffic in |
16 | both directions on the bridge. |
17 | Section 2. Effective date. |
18 | This act shall take effect immediately in 60 days. | <-- |
