AN ACT

Making appropriations from the Workmen's Compensation

2

Administration Fund to the Department of Labor and Industry

3

and the Department of Community and Economic Development to

4

provide for the expenses of administering the Workers'

5

Compensation Act, The Pennsylvania Occupational Disease Act

6

and the Office of Small Business Advocate for the fiscal year

7

July 1, 2009, to June 30, 2010, and for the payment of bills

8

incurred and remaining unpaid at the close of the fiscal year

9

ending June 30, 2009.

The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

11

hereby enacts as follows:

Section 1.  The sum of $72,218,000, or as much thereof as may

13

be necessary, is hereby appropriated from the Workmen's

14

Compensation Administration Fund to the Department of Labor and

15

Industry for the payment of all salaries, wages and other

16

compensation and travel expenses, for contractual services and

17

other expenses necessary for the administration of the act of

18

June 2, 1915 (P.L.736, No.338), known as the Workers'

19

Compensation Act, and the act of June 21, 1939 (P.L.566,

20

No.284), known as The Pennsylvania Occupational Disease Act, for

21

the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2009, and for the payment of

22

bills incurred and remaining unpaid at the close of the fiscal

year ending June 30, 2009.

Section 2.  The sum of $190,000 is hereby appropriated from

3

the restricted revenue account within the Workmen's Compensation

4

Administration Fund to the Office of Small Business Advocate in

5

the Department of Community and Economic Development as provided

6

in the act of June 2, 1915 (P.L.736, No.338), known as the

7

Workers' Compensation Act, for the operation of that office for

8

the fiscal year July 1, 2009, to June 30, 2010.

Section 3.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2009, or

10

immediately, whichever is later.
